Grasmere lies 4 miles North of Ambleside,
and is ideally situated for all types of activities. Walkers and cyclists
alike will appreciate the array of local walks and trails for all abilities.
The guest house lies on the edge of Grasmere village, and is only a short
walk from the shops, cafes and pubs.
Grasmere is home to Dove Cottage, fomer home of William Wordsworth, which
now houses a visitor's centre devoted to his life and works.
It is also makes an excellent base for visiting the many attractions
of the Lake District.
